What is Fumed Silica Gel?
Fumed Silica Gel Silicone Rubber is a composite material formed by uniformly dispersing nano-scale fumed silica (Fumed Silica) in a silicone rubber matrix. Fumed silica has a high specific surface area (usually 90m²/g–417 m²/g) and abundant surface hydroxyl groups, which can form strong physical and chemical interactions with silicone rubber molecules, thereby significantly enhancing the mechanical properties and thermal stability of silicone rubber.
Vapor-mixed silicone rubber has extremely high volume resistivity (about 10^13 Ω·cm) and dielectric strength, which can effectively prevent electrical breakdown and leakage, ensuring the safe operation of high-voltage cables in high-voltage environments.
The material can remain stable at temperatures up to 300°C, suitable for high-temperature environments near motors and batteries in new energy vehicles, ensuring the reliability of cables under extreme working conditions.
Nano-scale fumed silica particles as reinforcing fillers significantly improve the tensile strength and tear resistance of silicone rubber, while maintaining good flexibility to adapt to the bending and installation requirements of cables in narrow spaces.
Vapor-mixed silicone rubber has good resistance to ozone, ultraviolet rays and chemical corrosion, extending the service life of cables and reducing maintenance costs.
